Topic: The State of Mental Health for PLWHs of Color in the LGBTQ+
Community during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Learning Objectives:
- Understand race and racism's role in HIV rates pre-COVID -19 in
comparison to rate increases during the pandemic and how it impacted
LGBTQ+ people of color communities.
- Explore the many factors underpinning LGBTQ+ people of color with
HIV and their responses to the pandemic.
- Examine methods to assist LGBTQ+ people of color in accepting the
impact of two pandemics and share strategies for them to create
sustainable, healthy lives.
This program will be of interest to social workers, general case
managers, and mental health practitioners. Other disciplines are also
welcome to attend.
