Title: Resilience from Communities of Color: Surviving the COVID-19
Pandemic as a Pandemic as a Person with HIV
Speakers: Jackie Phillips, MSW, LCSW and Dottie Dowdell, MHS
Learning Objectives:
- Explore the integration of the definition of resiliency with the
experiences of Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC).
- Exploring historical & contemporary examples of resilience
related to COVID-19 and the role of sitting with trauma to build resilience.
- Explore the intersections of resiliency in HIV and the COVID-19
Pandemic in the communities of color.
This program will be of interest to physicians, physician assistants,
nurse practitioners, registered nurses, pharmacists, social workers,
case managers, and mental health practitioners. Other disciplines are
also welcomed to attend.
